靜宜大學因應「新型冠狀病毒肺炎」疫情

安心就學措施

一、申請資格

依據中央流行疫情指揮中心公告辦理。

二、證明文件

居家隔離通知書/居家檢疫通知書或其他可供佐證之證明文件。

三、開學選課及修課

  1. 開學日期:11195日。
  2. 第一輪加退選時間修訂為111/8/309/2,第二輪加退選時間修訂為111/9/9111/9/13,請參考111學年度第1學期選課時程表
  3. 延遲入校境外新生,請盡速開通校園帳號,並主動與國際暨兩岸事務處、所屬學系以及修課之授課教師保持聯繫,以利線上學習。
  4. 赴境外修讀雙聯學位、或參與實習等計畫是否持續,請洽各學系(或職產處)估是否保留或延長資格。
  5. 學生如主動要求赴境外研修或實習,請洽國際暨兩岸事務處或職產處簽定出國研/實習自負聲明書。
  6. 無法赴境外實習或研修者,請於加退選規定期限內自行上網選課,如未達最低學分數或當期必修課程未順利選上者,請洽各學系及教務處綜合業務組共同協助。
  7. 特殊個案得經申請獲准後,不受每學期最低學分數限制。
  8. 學生須於上課日起(11195),依所修課程每週教學進度學習,如有疑問請盡速與所屬學系聯絡。
  9. 學生請盡速開通校園Teams帳號,查看所選課程是否正確以利開學後上線學習,相關操作說明請參閱Microsoft Teams 操作手冊【學生版】(或至靜宜大學首頁教務處教學發展中心放心教x安心學-靜宜大學線上教學資源專區安心學x學生專區查詢)。相關操作如需協助,請與資訊處教學資源中心或教務處教學發展中心聯繫。

四、註冊繳費(出納組)

  1. 境外學生應於11194前完成註冊繳費(含住宿費)及辦理選課,方為完備註冊手續。
  2. 疫區學生得以通訊方式或委託他人辦理請假、休學等事宜,或檢具相關證明辦理手續。

五、學生請假(生輔組)

  1. 學生(含延遲入境)可進行線上學習者,無須申請防疫假。
  2. 出入境學生配合相關措施需作檢測、搭機、移動飯店或確診身體不適者,以致無法進行線上課程,可申請「防疫假」。
  3. 學生因確診或疫情導致之特殊狀況,在完成通報疫調且於請假系統請防疫假者,請假期間之缺課不列入當學期該課程之缺曠課紀錄,亦不扣減該科出席成績。

六、考試請假

考試請假從寬處理,並由教師自行決定補考方式。

七、學習補救(教發中心)

部分課程提供同步或非同步之遠距教學者(至多六週,1014日止),學生可申請協助修習,本校另提供校定及專業線上補救教學課程,另行公告於新冠肺炎疫情專區,請學生查看,相關疑問也可聯絡所屬學系。

八、停課、復課及補課

  1. 有關停課、復課,悉依教育主管機關及中央流行疫情指揮中心之規定辦理。
  2. 停課後之補課:
    • 維持一學分18小時學習內容,必要時由授課教師自行調整上課時間與方式。
    • 各課程如因防止疫情擴散必須停課者,停課期間之課程,由授課教師與學生協商後,調整上課時間與方式,補足停課時數。

九、休學及延長修業年限

  1. 境外學生至遲應於111930以前入境,並於完成7日居家檢疫後至本校就讀,逾期未至本校就讀者,學生得以通訊方式或委託他人,檢具相關證明文件向本校教務處綜合業務組申請休學,辦理休學者其已繳交之學雜費,依教育部「專科以上學校學雜費退費基準表」辦理,如需退費者,得保留扣抵下期學雜費
  2. 前款疫區限制來台之受災學生,因無法於本學期順利就學者,得個案專簽申請該學期休學不列入休學期數

十、學校相關輔導協助機制

  1. 身心關懷機制:
    • 由學生事務處住宿服務組、諮商暨健康中心、國際暨兩岸事務處等單位,針對具感染風險學生之身心狀況,進行評估與處遇,並視狀況轉介校外相關資源。
    • 針對確診或密切接觸之學生,由諮商暨健康中心提供衛教資訊以及線上諮商或輔導服務,並視學生狀況,協同各系所、國際暨兩岸事務處及相關處室,提供學生所需之校內外資源。
  2. 學生服務機制:
    • 上班期間,由各處室依據職責提供確診或具感染風險學生相關安心就學及服務資訊。
    • 下班期間,由校安中心做為單一窗口,上班後校安中心將視學生諮詢問題及學生聯繫方式,移請教務處由相關同仁(或問題性質業管單位)秉權責辦理。
  3. 學生隱私維護:
    • 確診或密切接觸學生狀況及資料,除知會權責單位及主管外,相關資訊皆不透露給他人,以維護學生隱私。

十一、成績考核

考試請假從寬處理,並由教師自行決定補考方式,並視科目性質,調整以補考或其他補救方式核定成績。

 


Study-at-Ease COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention Measures

Announced: August 24, 2022

A. Eligibility

In accordance with the announcements of Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

B. Supporting Documents

Home Quarantine Notice or any other supporting documents.

C. Course Registration and Attendance

  1. School begins on September 5, 2022.
  2. The 1st Round Drop/Add is between August 30 and September 2, 2022; the 2nd Round is between September 9 and September 13, 2022. Please refer to the Course Registration Schedule 2022/23AY 1st Semester.
  3. For new overseas students whose entry has been delayed due to COVID-19 epidemic, please open your campus account as soon as possible and take the initiative to keep contact with the OIA, the respective departments, and the teachers of the courses registered for online learning.
  4. For students taking dual degree overseas or practicum/internship, please contact the respective departments or the Div. of Career Development (DCD) to see if the program is retained or extended.
  5. If a student voluntarily requests to go overseas for training or internship, please contact the OIA or DCD to sign a statement of self-responsibility for overseas training/internship.
  6. If for any reason overseas training/internship or study are prevented, please register your courses online in the stipulated Drop/Add schedule. If the student failed to meet the lowest credits required for the semester or failed to register the required courses, please contact both the respective department and the Div. of Registration and Curriculum for assistance.
  7. Subject to prior approval, cases of special consideration may be exempt from the minimum number of credit hours per semester.
  8. Courses begin on September 5, 2022. All students shall follow their course schedule and study according to the weekly teaching schedule. For any questions, please contact the respective departments as soon as possible.
  9. All students should open their campus Teams account as soon as possible. Verify your course registration list to enable online learning. For operation details, please refer to Microsoft Teams Manual (Student Version) (or go to Providence University homepage à Office of Academic Affairs à Teaching Development Center à Study-at-Ease, PU Online Teaching Resource Center à Study-at-Ease.) For assistance on operation, please contact Teaching and Learning Resource Center of OITS or TDC of Office of Academic Affairs.

D. Payment (Cashier’s)

  1. To complete the registration procedure, overseas students shall complete the payment for registration (Room Fee included) and course registration before September 4, 2022.
  2. Students in the areas affected by epidemic can apply for leave of study, suspension of studies, etc. by means of communications or entrust others to file for the application with relevant supporting documents.

E. Leave taking (Div. of Student Assistance)

  1. Students (including those of delayed entry) who can proceed with online learning are free from taking a leave for quarantine.
  2. Students who cannot conduct online learning due to quarantine related inspections, taking a flight, changing the hotel, or confirmed cases can apply for Leave for Quarantine.
  3. For the students who are confirmed cases or under special circumstances due to epidemic, after completing the quarantine reports and successfully applied for Leave of Quarantine, their absence is not accounted for the absenteeism records and their attendance performance would not be affected.

F. Leave for Examination

  1. Students (including those of delayed entry) who conduct online learning are not required to ask for leave.
  2. For the students who complete their report procedure and are listed as follow-up cases or have to follow the instructions for inspections, taking a flight, changing the hotels, or are confirmed cases and cannot conduct online learning, they are eligible for Leave of Quarantine. Their absence is not accounted for the absenteeism records and their attendance performance would not be affected.

G.Remedial Learning (Teaching Development Center)

Some courses provide synchronous/asynchronous online teaching (six weeks maximum, before October 14). Students can apply for these remedial learning. The University also provide online remedial courses for University required or professional courses. For details, please refer to COVID-19 webpage or contact the respective departments for assistance.

H.Course Suspension, Resumption, and Make-up

  1. Regarding the matters of course suspension, resumption, or make-up, please refer to the regulations set forth by MOE and CDC.
  2. Make-up Course for the suspended courses:
    • The policy of 18-hour of instruction per credit remains unchanged. If necessary, the teaching faculties may adjust the time and method of class.
    • If courses must be suspended to prevent the spread of epidemic, the teaching faculties of the courses affected, after consultation between the teachers and students, may adjust the class time and method to make up of the number of hours under suspension.

I.Suspension of Studies and Extending the Duration of Studies

  1. Overseas students should enter the country before September 30, 2022 at the latest and report to the University after completing the 7-day home quarantine. Students who fail to report to the University before the deadline can apply for Suspension of Studies by communication or entrusting others to submit relevant documents to the Div. of R&C, Office of Academic Affairs. The refund of the tuition and fees are handled in accordance with the regulations of Table of Refund Standards provided in the Regulations on Tuition and Fees Collection for Colleges issued by the Ministry of Education. If a refund is required, the tuition and fees for the next term may be retained and deducted.
  2. Students from the epidemic-affected areas mentioned in the preceding paragraph, who are restricted from coming to Taiwan, can apply for a suspension of study for the semester by special case, which will not be included in the number of semesters under suspension.

J.Assistance Mechanism

  1. Mental Care Mechanism:
    • Student Housing Service, Counseling and Health Center, OIA will collaborate to provide mental health care assistance after considering the status of the epidemic-affected area and refer the local resources to the students in need.
    • The Counseling and Health Center will provide necessary health information and online counseling to the students of confirmed cases or with close contact. Depending on the students’ situation, the respective departments, OIA, and relevant units will provide the resources needed by students on and off campus.
  2. Student Assistance Mechanism:
    • Office Hours: Each unit in charge shall provide the students of confirmed cases or students of high risk the relevant study-at-ease and service information.
    • Non-office Hours: Campus Security will serve as the single window and forward the cases handled based on the nature of the students’ issues to the relevant units for further process or assistance.
  3. Students’ Privacy:
    • The status and information of the students of confirmed cases and close contact will only be disclosed to the relevant responsible units and supervisors and will not be disclosed to others to protect the students’ privacy.

K.Performance Evaluation

The Examination Leave is handled leniently, and it is at the teacher’s discretion how the make-up exam will be handled. Depending on the nature of the subject, the teacher can adjust the grades by make-up exams or other remedial methods.
